Hope Africa International is a small non-profit started in Sisters, Oregon to serve vulnerable children in East Uganda. Sponsorship of children provides a quality education, uniforms, shoes, medical care and teaches children about what it means to be loved by God. Hope Africa started in a rural town called Kapchorwa, located on Mt. Elgon at 7400 feet in elevation. Then, in 2014, we partnered with Powell Butte Community Church and Kingdomwork Ministries International to sponsor children from two impoverished villages called Kaplobotwo and Kabachirya (K&K Schools). Over the years, we have seen the incredible impact sponsorship has had not only on the lives of children, but on their families and communities.

In January 2025, Hope Africa International is taking a small team of three people to work alongside our Ugandan staff, teachers and volunteers. Our goal is to encourage and learn from the faithful people who work hard on behalf of Hope Africa's children. We will be participating in some of the following:

  • Staff retreat
  • Center Days where children learn from the Bible
  • Staff meetings
  • Parent meetings of sponsored children
  • Home visits of sponsored children

The cost per person for this trip will be $2700 for airfare, lodging, food, insurance and medical expenses. If you feel called to support Hope Africa International by giving to Uganda Team Travel, all donations are tax deductible. You may give here or you are also welcome to send donations to Hope Africa International, PO Box 762, Sisters, OR 97759

**Donations received in excess of this goal will be applied to the General Fund, which also supports children in Uganda.
