Join us for an evening of celebration at Sisters Community Church on October 5th. You will get to enjoy a traditional Ugandan dinner, a live auction to benefit the program and an opportunity to hear multiple filmed stories from our Ugandan children and staff. All of this will help you to see and experience the Legacy of Hope which has been built over the past 20 years.

Hope Africa International started with a team of people from Central Oregon who ventured to Kapchorwa, Uganda for the Arise Uganda Festival in 2004. From that initial visit a deep, lasting relationship was built between Sisters and the small mountain town of Kapchorwa. Sisters Community Church began sending teams to serve alongside a local church and quickly realized that investing in the next generation would be the central facet to the relationship. In 2009, SCC started their own child sponsorship program and in 2014, Hope Africa International established independent 501c3 status and Ugandan NGO status. In 2014, Hope Africa International also partnered with Powell Butte Community Church to start a second child sponsorship program in the valley below Kapchorwa, serving the impoverished villages of Kabachirya and Kaplobotwo.

We are excited to share all God has done in the past 20 years amongst the children we are serving. What a gift it has been to watch them grow up and give back to their communities. You can watch here to be inspired by their Legacy of Hope: https://youtu.be/Q9eGPJc3eWA?si=cf1xYg25tObzR9Qy
